• 350 Davis: Climate Action Day

10:00am–2:00pm, Central Park (Bike Parade starts at Community Park)

On October 24, the City of Davis will celebrate “350:Davis - Climate Action Day”. Everyone is invited to participate: Meet in the Veteran’s Memorial Parking Lot at 10am to be part of a bike parade to Central Park or come to Central Park between 10am and 2pm to enjoy a Carbon Footprint Education Expo and Vendor fair, craft activities, Jazz music, a noon time inspirational program featuring local luminaries, and of course, the Farmer’s Market. Davis is just one of 1,781 events in 141 countries (and these numbers are still growing) celebrating International Climate Action day, a grassroots campaign to lift up the number 350 with a loud, clear message to policy makers involved in December 2009 Copenhagen Negotiations: the time for decisive action to reduce carbon emissions is now.
