This listserv is for the benefit of the immediate church family		 This email list replaces the previously used phone message system for prayer requests. It allows you to edit your email address if it changes or unsubscribe yourself at any time. New subscribers are invited to subscribe themselves by filling a simple form online.

How to use

The Prayer Chain originates either when a request is made to uccpray-er@mailman.dcn.org or by calling Deanna or Wendy at 756-3923. The Prayer Chain is for the benefit of the immediate church family. The requests should be of an emergency nature. It is not appropriate for the Prayer Chain to handle general announcements. The person asking for prayer must have permission from the person being prayed for or it could be an ethical or legal issue. When a prayer request email is received, it is then the responsibility of the subscriber to pray for the person(s). It is also important to know the outcome of our prayers so please submit "Answers to Prayer" in the same way as "Prayer Requests".

Other tips on courteous use of the UCCpray-er email Prayer Chain:

  • Do not forward email to non-subscribers.
  • Do not disclose subscribers' email address to non-subscribers.
  • It is courteous to ask for permission before forwarding someone else's email.
  • Practice internet safety. Do not send private information by email.

If you have subscribed but have not received any email from this list, please check your email filter and/or "buddy list" to make sure email from this listserv has not been blocked.
