Prisoner of Conscience: Medhanie Haile

AI Group 21, the Davis Community Chapter of AI, has been assigned a Prisoner of Conscience (POC) named Mehanie Hallie. Mr. Hallie is an Eritrean journalist who has been imprisoned without trial since September 2001.

Recently there have been credible reports that a colleague of Mr. Halle, journalist Joshua Yohannes, has died in detention due to lack of medical care. To learn more about the reported death of Mr. Yohannes follow this link...AI_Yohannes!
