Annual Valley Oak Spring Carnival
Friday, June 6th, 5:00-7:30pm
If you've never been to the Spring Carnival, then mark your calendars and don't miss this last one! There will be lots of games, good food and the chance to hang out with friends. Be sure to visit the “Hall of Memories” in the MPR during the carnival celebrating Valley Oak’s 54 year history. We are looking for memorabilia (pictures, t-shirts, etc.) to include in this display. If you have any items that we may borrow, please email valleyoakpta@yahoo.com.

Staff Appreciation Luncheon
After our request for help with the upcoming May 7th Staff Appreciation Luncheon, we want to thank so many of you! We have received a good number of volunteers for set up and clean up. We do however need a few more gift baskets. If anyone is feeling creative and wanting to help out in this area we would appreciate it. Some ideas or themes for a basket would be: coffee, bath/lotions, gardening, gourmet foods, etc. The gift basket raffle is a highlight of the luncheon. Our goal is to have enough gift baskets to raffle off one for each staff member!
We really want this event to be spectacular and need your help in making that happen. If you can help, please contact Denise Costa at domzden@sbcglobal.net or at 757-6391.

Warm weather brings a change in student wardrobes! Parent reminder re: dress code
--Students must wear closed toed shoes for safety.
--For girls: tops must cover shoulders and tummies. No spaghetti straps or crop tops.
--Shorts and skirts must be long enough for decency. No underwear should be showing.
Most important: more sunshine increases the need for sunscreen! Protect your child from the sun’s rays!
