Attn: 6th Grade Parents
Due to the generous donation of time and talents by Davis artists Cindy Ruff and Sue Rutherford, the 6th graders will have a 6th grade legacy project after all! The classes have been busy painting their tiles this past week. A few parents helped out with these painting sessions and we would like to thank them for sharing their time. Many parents are needed to assist with the actual installation of the tile dragon tentatively set for the weekend of May 17-18. Please consider volunteering for a shift to help with your child's legacy project. Interested parents can contact Julie Cuetara at 758-8238 or email valleyoakpta@yahoo.com.

Nugget Market Friendship Club
Nugget Market will be continuing their Friendship Club program where community members contribute their shopping receipts and a percentage is donated back to the school/group of their choice. However, receipts are no longer being collected at the grocery store sites. Please collect your receipts and turn them in at your new school office.

Volunteers Needed for Dragon Run
This year's theme is "From Davis to Beijing" in celebration of the upcoming Summer 2008 Olympics. Dragon Run is a fun fitness event for all classes, which will be held on Friday, May 16. Proceeds will benefit the Davis Schools Foundation.
Forgive me, but I left Kurt Yeaman's and Maria Garcia's classes off of the schedule on the volunteer form. Both classes are scheduled to run at 9:20am. Volunteers are needed to assist with set-up/clean-up, handing out water and counting runners’ laps. Return your volunteer forms soon or send an email to Martha Gegan at marfjax@gmail.com.
