[Davis Democrats] My thoughts after reading our editor's statement...

Greetings DCN Board Mailing List,

I just finished reading the statement from Anais. I stand behind all of the
words I wrote earlier. BUT, if the candidates cannot follow the
instructions given to them in crafting the statement, we are not responsible
for this nor should we edit their statements, except to limit them to 250
words. The question or instructions should be printed and presented to the
reader in the newsletter and the statement should be printed that was
submitted. I think that the ablility to follow instructions or not follow
instructions is important. Let the readers decide at the ballot box what is
important to them.

If people think that my comment about the lawn sign design did not make
sense, VME charges $50/hour for its work. You can mentally calculate how
much virtual money is being donated to the Democrat Club by its newsletter
editor for the professional quality work that she is doing.
