The ugliness has begun.  John Doolittle sent out a fundraising letter
attacking Charlie.  He smears him as "the most liberal opponent"
Doolittle has ever faced, and says Charlie is pushing an agenda of
"higher taxes, amnesty for illegal immigrants and gay marriage."  This
is disgusting -- pandering to the lowest common denominator of
Doolittle's conservative base.

It's not surprising, given the front page article this weekend in the
Sacramento Bee describing how Doolittle helped convicted lobbyist Jack
Abramoff win a contract with the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana
Islands in exchange for a $14,000 contribution directly from Abramoff
-- the same Mariana Islands that support sweatshops, forced abortions,
and forced prostitution.  Article here:

This was followed by Bob Ney withdrawing from his re-election campaign.

Doolittle's back is up against a wall.  But he wants to use his
$14,000 contributions from convicted lobbyists and others to smear
Charlie on the air.

Please donate to Charlie's campaign and help us get up on the air and
get the truth out to the people of this district.  Tell John Doolittle
he can't lie his way into another term in Congress.
