[Davis Democrats] No DDC Health Care Panel General Meeting -- but information about another public panel

Greetings Davis Democratic Club Members,

The Davis Democratic Club Board has been trying to put together a Health
Care panel to explain to the membership what is going on with the Obama
Health Care Plan.  This panel discussion would have explained what the
single payer and public options are and there was a planned handout -- the
survivor's essential guide to health care or everything you need to know,
but did not know to ask.  This is a timely topic and we have been unable to
get the speakers for a program together.  The bottomline is that there will
not be a November General Meeting of the Davis Democratic Club.

If you wish to learn about The Future of Health Care in America, please
consider going to the International House panel discussion on Monday,
November 9 at 7PM.  This has nothing to do with the Davis Democratic Club --
but if you are confused and have questions, this is a place to go to have
your fears addressed and to learn answers.  The address is 10 College
Street.  The speakers are Dr Shereen Vera, formerly of Sutter Memorial
Hospital and Doctors of the World, and Elizabeth Sholes, public policy
director of the California Council of Churches.  

The presenters of this event say, "Health care isn't free, but this talk is!
Please Join Us!"

They also pose the question, "Should you worry?"  That will be answered at
this panel discussion.

This is a free event and the public is invited.
