Dear Democratic friends: John Garamendi was elected California Insurance Commissioner,1991-5 and again 2002-6, where he worked hard and effectively to protect consumers by doing his job of regulating the insurance corporations. Check out his brilliant record of achievement on his website,www.garamendi.org, or on wikipedia.
Now these insurance corporations are acting as if they have a carte blanche to spend their profits (which they collect from consumers) to defeat his re-election to Congress. Please do what you can to keep John Garamendi working for the people in our congressional district. He fights for the true needs of the common person for fairness and equal opportunity under law.

>> Hello John,
>>
>>
>> They’re at it again! The Sacramento Bee released a bombshell report this week. Insurance industry giant Aetna has put at least $3.3 million into a shadowy SuperPAC that’s attacking me with ads for being a strong advocate for the Patient’s Bill of Rights. Can you help counteract these insurance company attacks by donating $25, $50 or $100?
>>
>> This isn’t the first time that the insurance industry has targeted me. In the election for California’s Insurance Commissioner, the insurance companies spent millions trying to defeat me. They knew then and they know now that I would fight for consumer rights. We beat the insurance companies then, and with your help, we can do it again.
>>
>> Can you help us with an urgent gift today of $25, $50, $100 or more?
>>
>> The National Republican Campaign Committee (NRCC) is following Aetna’s lead, launching a website of their own attacking me and nine other Democrats for supporting the Affordable Healthcare Act. According to their website, The NRCC will match every single dollar they receive, with a contribution of up to $5,000 to my opponents campaign. I am being attacked from all angles, and I need the resources to fight back. Their TV ads and the website are running now. I need your help now. Please consider contributing $25, $50, or $100 today.
>>
>> Thank you for standing with me,
