Dear Democrats: The  Annual Bean Feed is the primary fundraiser of the Yolo County Democratic Party. This year's theme, suggested by our California Assemblywoman Mariko Yamada, is "Still Fighting for Justice." 

Speakers will address the recent victories for equal treatment--implementation of affordable health care insurance and recognition of marriage equality--as well as new challenges--voting rights, and rights of women, minorities, and workers. Keynote speaker is Kathy Kneer, president of Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California. 

The event is at the Veterans' Memorial Center, 203 E. 14th Street, just west of the  Yolo County Public Library. Tickets are $35 at the door. Email Bob Schelen of Davis  at slobadbobs at aol.com for advance information
