This is not an official Davis Democratic Club event. This is for a presentation by a current 4th assembly candidate and a person running for Davis City Council. These announcements are from G Richard Yamagata, Davis Democratic Club Recording Secretary. This event is today Wednesday, April 16. --------------------- April 16, 2014 -- This Wednesday Announcement: This is a free event that we thought that people, especially Democrats of the community of Davis would like to attend to be informed. You do not have to RSVP. You do not have to RSVP -- repeating myself, so there is no question in your mind. Just show up and come listen and enjoy the food. DDC board members that usually attend these meetings are Bob Bockwinkel, Arun Sen, Rick Gonzales, and G Richard Yamagata. DDC members that should be coming to this lunch time meeting are Corky Brown, Will Arnold, and Judy Reynolds and our first speaker, Dan Wolk. So, as a DDC member, you should see a lot of familiar faces at this lunch. In three weeks, Sue Greenwald will talk about Measure P and Joe Krovoza will be speaking about his run for the 4th Assembly district. Both Sue Greenwald and Joe Krovoza are members of the Davis Democratic Club. ------------------- Greetings Davis Democratic Volunteers and Supporters, You are all cordially invited to the DavisProBiz Exchange meeting today, Wednesday, April 16. The featured speakers will be: Dan Wolk, who is currently running for the 4th Assembly District race. This meeting is to hear his thoughts about the 4th Assembly District. He is also a Davis Democratic Club member. The second speaker will be Dan Parreta, who is running for Davis City Council. Dan is a registered Democart and has come to two DDC board meetings since January 1st. Both of these candidates are Democrats. It is unfortunate, but the DavisProBizExchange will NOT be inviting any of the registered Republican candidates for Assembly and City Council. All of the Republican candidates declared on the last day of filing for City Council and Assembly and the PBE had already scheduled the speakers and there is no more room for candidates to speak. We may have Republican candidates show up at our May 28 meeting -- 9 weeks away, but they are not scheduled to speak. All PBE visitors are given less than 2 minutes to speak. Our featured speakers are given 15 to 20 minutes to present. The meeting is on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 starting at 11:45AM and ends 1PM at the International House in Davis. There is no charge for this event. Please RSVP to G Richard Yamagata if you will be attending, so we can order enough food.
