[Davis Democrats] voluntary action op: Hillary Rodham Clinton-Kickoff Rally/No-Host Dinner/Nov.22 afternoon, 4:30(sharp)-7pm/change to New Venue

For:  all ages, from students to retired,  who want now to work to get out the vote for Hillary Rodham Clinton to be the next President of the United States.  This is not a Davis Democratic Club event, and is posted as a courtesy. All are welcome from any party or  no party; it is non-partisan. 

What: “I Like Hillary” for President. Not a fundraiser. There is no charge for attending. It is no-host: The restaurant is graciously allowing  us  the use of their banquet hall in the back. No one needs to order anything.  It is Grassroots: no political party is paying for anything.  It would be a courtesy for you after arriving to order something from the restaurant and pay, for example,  for a soup (sizzling rice, egg flower soup,wonton, vegetarian bowl) or for an appetizer (vegetarian spring roll,potstickers,dim sum, Ding How po po platter), or even an entree,perhaps  MuShu served with six crepes. The restaurant has both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Mandarin menus. 


Purpose: Campaign Kickoff Rally/ Organizing Meeting in Yolo County by the Northern California Regional Coordinator for Hillary Rodham Clinton for President.

Who: Alec Bash, Northern California Regional Coordinator for Hillary Rodham Clinton, a graduate of MIT.  His wife, Sharry, was in the same class at Wellesley College with Hillary Rodham when Hillary Rodham was elected class president and when she gave the valedictory speech for her class at graduation. They have kept in touch since college days.

Where: Venue has been changed to DING HOW Restaurant, vegetarian/Mandarin, 640 West Covell Blvd., SE corner of Covell and Anderson, near Shell station and  Savemart  grocery store mall.

Alec Bash writes in the current DDC newsletter: “As she (Hillary) put it in the first debate,’I’m a progressive. But I’m a progressive who likes to get things done. And I know how to find common ground, and I know how to stand my ground, and I’ve proved that in every position that I’ve had.’”
