Davis City Councilman, Brett Lee, will be the keynote speaker at the 235th Meeting of the Davis Progressive Business Exchange on Wednesday, February 3. Brett will talk about the proposed Nishi project: what is proposed and will it be placed on the ballot for voters to decide. The second topic will be an update on Woodland-Davis Clean Water Project: timeline, costs, and modern technologies used. There will be a little time set aside for questions and answers at the end of the program. Brett Lee is running for re-election in June 2016. This is a lunch time meeting from 11:45AM to 1PM. The Davis PBE meets for lunch time meetings the first and third Wednesdays at the International House, 10 College Park off of Russell Blvd in Davis, CA. The idea behind this is that if you do not like any of the food that is supplied by the board, at least you can eat what you bring. The following is for people that do not know what to bring: A-G Dessert H-O Main Course P-Z Salad We have good food, good drink, raffles, and speeches from Yolo County and Davis City Democrat electeds. We hope to see Mariko Yamada and Lois Wolk. The suggested donation at the door will be $15/person and $5/student. This is a potluck event. The DDC will provide decorations (table candy decorations will be edible), plates, cups, utensils and non-alcoholic beverages. You must have paid your dues before February 14, 2016, the Valentine's Day party. Dues will be verified by the board on the day of the election. There will be elections held for officers of the Davis Democratic Club. Please come vote. The election is from 7PM until 7:30PM. We need at least one DDC member that is not running for election to count the ballots in the event of nomination from the floor. Polling closes at 7:20PM.
