These are events that are being planned for the next few months. This
e-mail is going out to this list first, because it includes an event that is
not directly sponsored by the club.

Davis City Councilman, Brett Lee, will be the keynote speaker at the 235th
Meeting of the Davis Progressive Business Exchange on Wednesday, February 3.
Brett will talk about the proposed Nishi project: what is proposed and will
it be placed on the ballot for voters to decide. The second topic will be
an update on Woodland-Davis Clean Water Project: timeline, costs, and modern
technologies used. There will be a little time set aside for questions and
answers at the end of the program. Brett Lee is running for re-election in
June 2016.

This is a lunch time meeting from 11:45AM to 1PM.

The Davis PBE meets for lunch time meetings the first and third Wednesdays
at the International House, 10 College Park off of Russell Blvd in Davis,
CA. The Davis PBE is a Davis businessmen's lunch organization. Lunch is
being paid for by David Pinto Insurance and will be catered by Lamppost
Pizza. There is no cost to attend. If you plan to attend the lunch

February 14, 2016
2016 DDC Love Your Electeds
Date: February 14, 2016 - Sunday
When: 6 to 9PM
Where: International House
        10 College Park
        Central Davis, CA 95616
(Across the street from the entrance road to UC Davis Memorial Union on
Russel Blvd)
COST: $5 suggested donation for Adults with Potluck food
$15 for people without potluck food.
        $5 students

FOOD: POTLUCK

If you decide to bring a dish, please bring enough of your favorite food to
share with 4 people. The idea behind this is that if you do not like any of
the food that is supplied by the board, at least you can eat what you bring.
The following is for people that do not know what to bring:
                          A-G Dessert
                          H-O Main Course
                          P-Z Salad

We have good food, good drink, raffles, and speeches from Yolo County and
Davis City Democrat electeds. We hope to see Mariko Yamada and Lois Wolk.
The suggested donation at the door will be $15/person and $5/student. This
is a potluck event. The DDC will provide decorations (table candy
decorations will be edible), plates, cups, utensils and non-alcoholic
beverages. Please come break bread with us and share pleasant conversation
and food with fellow Democrats. Contact Rick Gonzales at 530-758-2331 or
e-mail gonzales_rick at sbcglobal.net for details or to inquire about what to
bring to the event.
