Dear Jazz Band Parents,
  Please mark the following upcoming Jazz Band dates for 2008 on your calendar:
  January 25:  1:00 – 2:00 PM Rehearsal, 8:00 PM competition at Folsom Jazz Festival, Folsom, CA
  January 26:  Combo at Folsom Jazz Festival, 8:25 AM competition, Folsom, CA
  February 3: Concert with Capital Jazz Project, 7:00 PM, IPAB
  February 8 & 9: Guest performance at Jazz Choir Cabaret Dinner, Emerson Jr. High, time TBA
  February 23: Performance at Coconut Grove, DHS MPR, time TBA
  March 21: Joint fundraising concert with Jazz Choir, at IPAB, 7:30 PM
  Potential:  April 3 – 6: Monterey Jazz Festival Next Generation competition.  To be determined (this is by invitation only, and we are submitting an audition tape.  The Band's Superior rating at the Delta Festival enables us to submit the tape).
  April 10 – 13: New Orleans trip
  April 14 – 17: Jazz and Symphonic Band auditions
  May 31: Jazz Combo concert, 7:30 PM, IPAB
  June 6: Jazz on a Summer’s Eve concert, 7:30 PM, IPAB
  Note that Symphonic , Concert and Combined Bands have additional activities, which will be announced separately.  The dates above are for Jazz Band only.
