[Dhsbb-jazz] Playathon packets

Band Parents,
   
  The packet for Playathon went to your students at the beginning of last week.  Your sons and daughters may not have given it to you yet (I am sure this has been at the top of their minds and it will come to you this weekend).  However, I would like to point out it requires your signature and is due on Friday (Jan 18).
   
  This event has 2 major functions.  Of course, it is a fundraiser and money raised will go into your student’s account for our big trip.  We ask that you encourage your son or daughter to go out door-to-door or to relatives and ask for pledges.  We recommend at least $100 per student.  Secondly, and probably more important, this function is a great positive team builder/bonding for our students.  Think about the other ways your teenager may spend an all-nighter, and you will get my drift.  Volunteer parents will be present all night.
   
  So, please encourage your student to participate and turn in the paper work.
