Sacramento’s Capital Jazz Project will join the Davis High School Jazz Band for an evening of great jazz, focusing on the music of the legendary pianist Oscar Peterson. Don’t miss this chance to hear Sacramento’s leading jazz musicians and educators, as well as the Davis High School Jazz Band as they prepare for competition in April at the prestigious Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival. Oscar Peterson, or the “Maharaja of the keyboard” according to Duke Ellington, released over 200 recordings, won seven Grammy Awards and is considered to have been one of the greatest jazz pianists of all time.

The concert is Sunday, March 28, 7:00 PM at the Richard Brunelle Performing Arts Center (Davis Senior High School, 314 W. 14th Street, Corner of 14th & B Streets, Davis, CA). Tickets will be sold at the door and are $12 adult, $8 students/seniors, and $5 Junior High age and younger.

Don’t miss this exceptional concert, and bring the entire family for a terrific evening of music.
