Hello Everyone,

We are about to start our BIG Raffle event that will happen at the Davis Jazz & Beat Festival on October 9th, 2010.
EVERYONE has the opportunity to earn money toward the costs of the Spring Band Trip to Victoria, Canada.

It is easy!  Just sell Raffle tickets and earn money that will be allocated to help offset the cost of your trip.
One ticket is $5, or you can sell 5 tickets for $20.
Many students earned significant amounts toward their trip costs last year, and you can do the same this year.

Just pick up a set of tickets (you can determine how many you would like to try to sell) at one of the times listed below.
Sell those tickets to family, friends, neighbors, or anyone that wants to help support the DHS Bands.
Ideally, you should try to sell or purchase all the tickets you take, realizing that it will help defray your student's band trip costs and you have a chance of winning something!!
Then return the money and any unsold tickets BEFORE the Oct 9th Davis Jazz Festival.
All money and unused tickets need to be returned before the Oct 9th drawing, in order to be eligible for the drawings.

Some of the prizes that are being raffled off are:  A Tahoe Cabin Vacation Weekend, iPod Nano 6th Generation, Davis Athletic Club 3 month membership, Tabletop Gas Grill, various food & entertainment opportunities.  Come and be part of the fun!!


Julie Hochman is heading up the effort to get these tickets out to students/families that want to help sell them.
Lynne Rumery will be helping to sell tickets at the Farmer's Market events.
Tickets can be picked up at the following times & locations:

Tuesday Sept 28th (during Pep Band Drop off) from 7:15 pm to 7:45 pm  - near the Veteran's Memorial Theater (across the parking lot from the IPAB.
            Note that we can not distribute these on school property.
Saturday Oct 2nd at Farmer's Market in Central Park from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Sunday Oct 3rd at the Worlds Greatest Bike Parade in Central Park from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm
Saturday Oct 9th at Farmer's Market in Central Park from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
