Dear friends and colleagues,

I am excited to announce Clarfest 2011: a 3-day clarinet festival at UC Davis with clinics, recitals and product demos. Highlights include:

Special guest artist Charlie Neidich in recital and master class; principal clarinet with SF Opera Jose Gonzalez in recital and master class; audition workshop for professionals and students with Ginger Kroft; Feldenkrais method for performing artists with Erin Finkelstein; workshop on contemporary music and composition for clarinet by Peter Josheff; Clark Fobes demonstrating his barrels, mouthpieces, and reeds; Kenneth Long from Georgia State University, Atlanta.

My faculty recital is Friday, January 21 at 8 PM and includes works by Berg, Lutoslawski, and will culminate with a performance of the popular New York Counterpoint by Steve Reich with 11 clarinetists and Charlie Neidich conducting! All events take place at the UC Davis Mondavi Center, and complete program information is included in the link below. Thanks, and hope to see you there!
