<P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoBodyText><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt"><BR><FONT face="Times New Roman">We will be leaving for San Diego next Thursday!<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>All travel arrangements have been completed. The San Diego Trip committee and chaperones have planned a trip that we expect will be fun and safe for every band member and adult traveling with the group. <SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Chaperones will be available for your student’s needs and concerns at all times. Although every measure will be taken to ensure the safety of our group, we want to be very clear that individual, continuous supervision of your child is not possible on such a trip. We ask that you take some time to talk to your student about appropriate behavior in a group situation like this and in a large city such as San Diego. <SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Students must stay with the group and follow the
itinerary at all times; students must follow the behavior codes described by the DHS administration and the Music Director.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Students need to be aware that this trip with a large group will not have the flexibility of a single-family vacation.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>We are looking forward to getting to know your student better, and we hope the events that we have planned will be entertaining and educational.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN><o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></DIV>

<P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; tab-stops: .5in" class=MsoHeader><FONT size=3><FONT face="Times New Roman"><B>Expenses</B><B style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal"> – </B>Most meals will be provided. <SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Students will need to bring money for meals on travel days (one lunch and two dinners) and lunch at the zoo.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Students should expect to pay $15 and up for a meal at the zoo. Bring a bag lunch and snacks to eat during travel on Thursday. <SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Students may wish to bring more money for shopping or special activities at the Midway (flight simulator) or Sea World and San Diego Zoo.<o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></DIV>

We will be walking a lot, so bring <U>comfortable shoes.</U> <SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Please bring some warm clothes and a <U>jacket or sweatshirt</U>!<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The weather may be cool and breezy especially at our beach BBQ.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Highs
