<p class="gmail-MsoNormalCxSpMiddle">I hope you all had very nice holidays and are all refreshed
and ready to see your students resume the school year.  This Friday we have the DHS Bands
Play-A-Thon.  Years ago it was a fund
raising event.  Now it is just a fun
event for the kids and we also have the 9^th graders (freshman) from
the Jr. Highs join the combined bands. 
The event helps promote the music community spirit as well as being a
fun time for all.  <span></span></p>

<p class="gmail-MsoNormalCxSpMiddle"><span> </span></p>

<p class="gmail-MsoNormalCxSpMiddle">The last few years the kids pretty well faded
after midnight so Mr. Slabaugh thought that this year he would make the event
shorter.  So, it will go from 7:00pm to
Midnight.  It is being held at the
Emerson MPR.  <span></span></p>

<p class="gmail-MsoNormalCxSpMiddle"><span> </span></p>

<p class="gmail-MsoNormalCxSpLast">The Band Boosters will provide 20 extra large pizzas
for the group.  We will also provide 3
ice chests with ice to chill drinks.  <b>We are asking that families bring the
following:<span></span></b></p>

bring drinks.  Please bring 12oz drinks
to go in ice chests.  (no liter or multi liter

will be a need for chaperones.  Last year
we had a minimum of 4 per shift.  There
were a lot more shifts because the event went all the way to morning.  Please e-mail me with your name and the time
you would like to hang out.  The shifts
will be: 7:00 to 9:30 and 9:30 to Midnight.</b><span></span></p>
