ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY:  Two national parks preserved, 10 years apart. On this day in history, two national parks were established in the United States 10 years apart--the Grand Canyon in 1919 and the Grand Tetons in 1929.

	*	SENIORS!  LAST CHANCE TO ORDER DIPLOMAS!  Come to the front office TODAY to verify your legal name.  Any re-prints of a diploma will be at your cost of $10.

	*	Last day to register for CSF is TODAY lunch in P-13.  Bring your report card, the application, and $5.  Applications are at the front counter, the library, P-13, and P-20.

	*	The Gay-Straight Alliance will meet TODAY at lunch in the Learning Center.  Everyone is welcome!

	*	There is an MSA meeting TODAY during lunch in Mr. Reilly's room P-10.  Come join us for an activity/discussion.

	*	Would you like an internship position this summer?  County of Yolo is offering students ages 15-19 internships in County public service departments, such as Agriculture, Cooperative Extension, Public Health, Administration, Public Works, Employment, Social Services, and Parks and Resources.  Internships are unpaid, but students will receive community service credit.  Deadline to apply is May 14.  Come to the Scholarship and Financial Aid Office for more information.
	*	Attention all 9th grade musicians:  Davis High School Orchestra Program will conduct two auditions for 2010-2011. The first audition group is "DHS Symphony Orchestra", which is an advanced level full symphony orchestra open to string, woodwind, brass, and percussion players. The second audition orchestra is the "DHS Baroque Ensemble" open to violin, viola, cello, bass and keyboard players who are interested in learning to play the Harpsichord. Auditions will be held in the IPAB, Room PA-3 starting March 18-26. 	*	Our Freestyle Wrestling Season will begin March 3rd and we encourage ALL students, male or female who have an interest in wrestling, as well as all wrestlers, to attend. It's a great opportunity to learn and practice wrestling, keep in shape, and compete if you desire.  Let's help build the DHS WRESTLING

	*	If you received notification that you were selected as a National Merit Finalist, come to the Scholarship and Financial Aid Office to pick up your certificate!

	*	SENIORS:  The Cal Grant deadline is March 2.  If you received a postcard saying we cannot submit Cal Grant information for you because we don't have your social security number, come to the Scholarship and Financial Aid Office, located next to counseling, this week.  You cannot be considered for a Cal Grant without this information.  If you have any questions about Cal Grants or the FAFSA, come to the Scholarship office this week!

	*	SENIORS:  Last chance!  Cap/gown/tassel and DHS graduation announcement ordering is Tuesday, March 2 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the quad.  Also, DHS class rings will be available for pick-up and ordering!  $50 deposit required to order.

	*	Attention Senior Families:  Now is the time to buy your Graduate's reservation for Grad Night 2010 on June 11.  Go to www.davisgradnight.org <http://www.davisgradnight.org> to make your reservations.  Advance sale only $90 or $110 at the door.

	*	For an inside look at local government, be sure to pick up a Youth in Government application from the front office, and turn it back in to the office by Tuesday, March 2.  What would you do if you were in charge for a day?
