	*	The DSHS Varsity and Junior Varsity Football Teams will be conducting spring football practices from TODAY to Tuesday, June 8th. All student athletes wishing to play football in the fall need to attend these practices. If an athlete has a conflict they must see Coach Smyte. Varsity practice starts at 3:40 with chalk talk in Room N-11.

	*	Summer Sizzler Buses will be available TODAY. For $15.00 you can ride all summer long! Both Unitrans and Yolo Bus systems are included. Limited amount -1st come -1st serve!

	*	There will be a meeting for parents and students interested in the Davis High cross country program for 2010.  The meeting will held TODAY at 6:30 pm in room N-8 at Davis High.  The team welcomes students of all abilities who will be in grades 9-12 for the 2010-2011 school year. 	*	How About Some Hometown Glee?  Don't miss the Spring Pops Concert, TODAY at 7:00 pm at the Davis High School's Brunelle Theatre. Enjoy the sounds and moves of the award winning Davis High School Madrigals and Advanced Treble Choir as they let loose with top hits from the 60's through today.  Advanced tickets are $6, available now at Watermelon Music, 207 E Street, or $8 at the door.

	*	Friday is the last ASA meeting of the year! Everybody should attend the meeting regarding the future direction of the club. There also might be huge surprises!

	*	All Students: If you were unable to get into a community college summer course or were waitlisted, please see your counselor by Friday, June 4th to put the class back on to next year's schedule!

	*	ATTENTION STUDENTS: IT IS LOCKER CLEAN-OUT TIME! Please have your lockers cleared of all books and personal belongings no later than Wednesday, June 9 by 8:00 a.m.

	*	The DHS Jazz Band will present their final concert of the 2009-2010 on Friday evening, June 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the Brunelle Theater at Davis High School.  This group has won numerous awards this past year and this promises to be one of the best concerts ever!  The program will include some modern jazz works including "Slipstream" by Eric Richards, and "Excalibur" by Steve Wiest, as well as some traditional favorites such as "I Get A Kick Out Of You," by Cole Porter, and "Angel Eyes" by Matt Dennis.  Also to be performed will be some of the songs the band performed on their recent trip to Southern California, including the Disney favorites "Alice in Wonderland," and "I Just Can't Wait To Be King."  There are no advanced ticket sales but a suggested donation of $7.00 General Admission -- $6.00 Student/Senior will be asked at the door.

	*	Come see Jazz*N*Pops this Saturday at 7:30PM in the Brunelle Performance Hall. Music from the Blues Brothers, Lion King, Glee, and lots more. Presale tickets are available from Jazz Choir & Concert Choir Members. $5 St. & Sr/$8 Adults and $10 at the door Saturday.

	*	CSF members, the last CSF meeting of the year is this Friday, June 4th at lunch. Remember, you must attend 2 meetings per semester for active membership.

	*	SENIORS: Reminder- Pay your lunch fees that you owe to the Student Nutrition Cashiers in the cafeteria. Your diploma will be held until your bill is cleared. After June 10th- you must go to 1919 Fifth Street to pay your bill. Be sure to get a receipt.

	*	All Male/Female Athletes at DSHS are invited to participate in the Champions Advanced Performance Training/Conditioning Program. You will get personal instruction in advanced athletic performance training from highly qualified personal trainers and Davis Football Strength and Conditioning Staff. Sessions will include stretching, weightlifting, plyometrics, speed training, agility, quickness, core strength and conditioning. For further information pick up a registration pack in the main office at DSHS or see Coach Smyte for further information. First session starts Monday, June 21st - HS Girls 2:00, Gr -10 Boys 3:30, Gr 11/12 Boys - 4:30

	*	The last day to purchase spirit wear and physical education clothes is Monday, June 7th!  See Ms. Whitmire in P.E. if you would like to buy a sweatshirt before school is out!

	*	STUDENTS:  If you are interested in Summer Reading, please see the English Departments Suggested Summer Reading List posted at L-15 or at P-22.

	*	SENIORS:  Don't forget to request your FINAL TRANSCRIPT to be sent to the college you will be attending. Bring in a stamped addressed envelope to the Transcript Counter and follow the directions posted.

	*	SENIORS: Don't forget to fill out a PERMANENT ADDRESS CARD if you haven't already. Cards are available at the Counseling Office.

	*	Attention students: Finals are right around the corner! Do you need help with an essay or class project? Do you need help reviewing for math?  The Academic Center has tutors who can help you out! Stop by M-2 during lunch and after school to get some help.

	*	Volunteers are needed to help at All Things Right and Relevant thrift stores in Davis.  Students must be 15 years or older, and must commit to working a minimum of 4 hours per week.  Students can volunteer during school, or over the summer.  Contact Nadia Trauner at 759-1125 or nadtraun at yahoo.com, or come to the Scholarship and Financial Aid Office for more information.

	*	Sports Physical Day at Sutter Davis is Saturday, June 5th from 8:30-11:30am at Sutter Family Practice, 2030 Sutter Place Suite 2000. Why wait? Students in grades 7-12 are encouraged to complete their sports physicals this spring at Sutter West Medical Group for the 2010-11 school year. Coaches strongly recommend that you take this opportunity to get your physicals early so that you can be ready to participate in early tryouts. Your $20 donations will benefit the DHS Athletics Department. Sports Physical packets can be picked up at your student's school office or online at www.davisseniorhigh.net <http://www.davisseniorhigh.net> Packets must be completed, signed by a parent/guardian and brought with you on June 5th in order to participate in the clinic.
