ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY: Public Notice urges recognition of "humane
ladies".

On this day in 1776, in Baltimore, Maryland, a public notice appears in
local papers recognizing the sacrifice of women to the cause of the
revolution. The notice urged others to recognize women s contributions
and announced, "The necessity of taking all imaginable care of those who
may happen to be wounded in the country's cause, urges us to address our
humane ladies, to lend us their kind assistance in furnishing us with
linen rags and old sheeting, for bandages?."

TODAY

*	Attention all ASA members. We understand that attendance has
been slow, partly due to all the seniors not showing up. However, we
will be discussing our three-day club trip TODAY. The trip will be a
great one, so those members who don't want to miss out should attend the
meeting. Non-ASA members are welcome as well. See you there.

*	Don't miss the drama department's production of God's Country.
The last three shows are TONIGHT and Saturday at 7:00 p.m. Student
tickets are $8 and $1 off each ticket for a group of 10 or more. God's
Country is for mature audiences and deals with the frightening reality
of racism by exploring the inner workings of a white supremacist group
called The Order. Hate is not a thing of the past. Help us stop hate.

*	This is the last day to buy tickets for the Dance to End Hunger!
Tickets will not be sold at the door, so you must buy your ticket
pre-sale. Tickets are $10 and are sold TODAY at lunch and after school
outside of the Vets Memorial Center. Remember, tickets ARE NOT sold at
the door, so get your ticket TODAY. This event will be amazing; so
don't miss your chance to dance to make a difference.

*	All students who submitted portfolios for AP Art Studio must
pick up their portfolios this week. The 2010-11 AP Art Studio
