Tuesday, March 30 is a Student Government election assembly.  The schedule is as follows: 1st Period -7:45-8:30 a.m. (45 minutes), 2nd Period - 8:36-9:24 a.m. (48 minutes), 2nd Period teachers escort their students to the assembly, Assembly -9:24-10:06 a.m. (42 minutes), Break 10:06-10:10 a.m. (4 minutes), 3rd Period - 10:16-11:04 a.m. (48 minutes), 4th Period - 11:10 a.m.-12:04 p.m. (54 minutes), LUNCH - 12:04-12:48 p.m. (44 minutes), 5th Period - 12:54-1:42 p.m. (48 minutes), 6th Period -1:48-2:36 p.m. (48 minutes), 7th Period - 2:42-3:30 p.m. (48 minutes).

TODAY

	*	Hey National Honor Society members.  We will be having a meeting at lunch in room S-12 TODAY.  Please come to meet your new officers!

	*	Would you like to be a volunteer at Picnic Day this year? Volunteers are needed to help with Picnic Day's animal events, entertainment venues, children's fair, and information booths.  Volunteers work for at least 2 hours, and in appreciation for all of your hard work, you'll receive a FREE Picnic Day volunteer t-shirt and food!  Come to the Scholarship and Financial Aid Office for more information.

NEW

	*	Deadline extended for HUB applications!  Our award winning student newspaper needs excellent photographers, graphic designers, ad salespeople and web technicians.  Get an application outside L-20 and turn it in my Wednesday.

	*	Attention junior boys interested in government!  Would you like to attend an all expense paid work-study camp to help you understand the structure and workings of our government?  If so, you should apply for the American Legion Boys State program.  The event will be held on the CSU campus from June 19-26.  Those who apply must be strong academically, have leadership skills, and an interest in community and government.  Come to the Scholarship and Financial Aid office by March 31 to apply.

	*	Juniors & Seniors:  If you are interest in going to Davis School for Independent Study for quarter 4, please submit an application for DSIS to your counselor.  The last day for acceptance for the remainder of this year will be April 12.  If you are interested in going to DSIS next year, you can submit your applications now.
	*	Several summer internships are available for high school students. County of Yolo is offering internships in County public service departments. The Legischool Project allows juniors and seniors to learn about state government by working in the State Capitol.  The Kaiser Permanente L.A.U.N.C.H. High School Summer Youth Employment Program is a paid internship for juniors and seniors who are considering a career in health care.  Come to the Scholarship and Financial Aid Office for more information.

	*	Do you have bottle-throwing capabilities?  Do you want a ride on the friendship ship?  Bring your caboosh to the friendship day crew and bust out your moves.  Turn in your applications by April 2.  Drive safe!

	*	Are you interested in learning about plant or animal science?  AgDiscovery is an outreach summer program sponsored by the USDA, and is designed to help high school students learn about careers in plant and animal science and wildlife management.  The only cost is transportation.  Come to the Scholarship and Financial Aid Office for information.
