The Third Annual Davis High Boys Lacrosse Swap Meet will be held on Saturday, December 8 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Holmes Junior High School MPR!  Buy, sell, swap or donate new and used Lacrosse equipment and Gear.  Donations are happily accepted at the Swap and will help to support the Davis High Boys Lacrosse Teams!





LUNCH CHOICE:   Rice Bowl Day with Teriyaki Chicken, Beef or Tofu with fresh vegetables over local steamed rice.

Attention members of the Teen Health Awareness Club.  We will be taking our club photograph for the yearbook on Thursday, December 6.  Please arrive at 12:30 pm at the New Gym and wear a royal blue shirt.  See you there!

If you have a loved one serving in the military overseas, Student Government wants to send them a care package to say thank you for their service.  Please turn in their APO addresses to Mr. Morgan in C-4.   The deadline to get the APO address in to Mr. Morgan is December 21.  If you want to donate care package items, the deadline will be January 7, 2013.



The Davis Senior High School Winter Choral Concert will be held on Tuesday, December 11 at 7:00 pm at the Brunelle Performance Hall.  The Advanced Treble Choir, Concert Choir, Jazz Choir and Madrigal Singers will present an array of holiday selections for all to enjoy.   The concert is free and open to the public!



The Guitar Club meets Thursday, December 6 in Room P-22 at lunchtime.  We need to take our yearbook picture, so please be sure to attend!



Dance Club members!  Remember to meet in the IPAB for the yearbook photograph on December 7th at 12:15.  Wear black dancewear and have your hair as you would like it for the photo.
We are pleased to announce that DSHS has successfully submitted 2013 senior class verified GPA information for Cal Grants . This means students do not need to complete the paper GPA verification form to apply for a Cal Grant.  To be considered for a Cal Grant, students must submit the FAFSA by March 2.  Come to the Career Center if you have questions.


Do you have awesome talents?  Here's your chance to show it off with the DHS Factor!  Applications are due Friday, December 7th in C-4 to students and staff!

Anyone considering AP Art Studio for next year should come to an informational meeting in A-1 on Friday, December 14th at the beginning of lunch.



Calling all dodge ball players! Applications to start your own dodge ball intra-mural team are available today in C-4.  Turn completed applications into C-4 by December 14!  Also, there is a mandatory captains' meeting on December 14 to go over rules and regulations.  Can't wait to see you all there!

Attention All DHS Instrumental Soloists - This year's annual DHS Orchestra Concerto Competition is being held Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 7:00 pm on stage in the DHS Brunelle Performance Hall.  It is open to all DHS instrumentalists.  The winner of this competition will be given the honor of performing with the DHS Symphony Orchestra at the Mondavi Center in Jackson Hall at the Wennberg Music  Festival on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 3:00 pm as well as a check for $300!  A sign-up sheet and informational flyer will be on the window of the computer lab in PA-3.  Deadline to sign up is December 21st.   Also, you must email Mr. Moreno after you sign up at amoreno at djusd.net<mailto:amoreno at djusd.net>.  In your email, please provide your name, instrument and the name of your piece.

Reminder - Participation in student activities is a privilege, is encouraged, and plays an important part in insuring that students have a well-rounded high school experience. Please don't earn a spot on the No Activities List by failing to follow DHS rules and expectations for behavior and attendance. Placement on the NAL would prevent you from participating in fun activities such as break-the record night, the black-light dance, and even playing on an athletic team. Follow guidelines that are designed to help you be successful.  Don't go NAL!!
