-For Lunch today we have Teriyaki Beef over steamed local rice, Roasted Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy or BBQ Pork Sandwich.



- Attention all Math and Science Tutors!  We will be holding the general election for next year's officers today, Monday, April 2 at lunchtime in Room S-09.  See you there!



-Come to the Davis UNICEF Club meeting in L-23 at lunchtime today, Monday, April 2.  We will be discussing elections for the next school year!



NEW

-Help the German American Partnership Program raise money for their exchange trip to Germany.  Come to Woodstock's on Tuesday, April 3 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and buy delicious pizza.



-Come out and support the Blue Devil Golf team on Thursday, April 5 at Steve's Pizza beginning at 6:00 pm.  Mention "Blue Devil Golf" when ordering and a portion of your bill will be donated to the team.  Meet the players and wish them good luck as they begin their quest for a 6th consecutive DVC Championship!



-Want a chance to get your art out there?  Donate a piece of art to the DHS Drama Department's Art Auction.  Submission forms are in the front office and the deadline is April 22nd.  Help us get to Scotland with your talent!

 -"Out On a Limb" Auditions!  The Drama Department's last show of the year will be an evening of over-the-top scenes and monologues.  A mandatory informational meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 3 in P-11 followed by auditions next Thursday and Friday!



-Come to Mr. Blue Devil and see your favorite Senior guys shake it and show off their talents!  This fantastic show will be in the IPAB on Thursday, April 5 at 7:00.   Tickets are $10 pre-sale beginning Thursday and $12 at the door.  This show usually sells out so get your tickets fast!



-If you are a Senior interested in speaking at graduation, applications are available in C-4 and are due April 20.





-The Career Center has a webpage filled with helpful information about colleges, scholarships, financial aid, upcoming presentations and has many links to help you plan for life after high school!  There are also links for employment opportunities.  Check it out today!

-Are you a girl interested in becoming a firefighter? Come to the Career Center for information regarding the California Fire Fighter Committee's annual Firefighter Expo for women to learn about a fire service career and take a physical ability test.  The event is being held on Saturday, April 21st and is free, including lunch!



-Attention Seniors! On Tuesday April 17th, you can take the ASVAB! This is a great tool for your future and it's free! Visit www.asvab.com or the Career Center in N-17 for more information. Sign up deadline is Friday April 6th. Sign-up sheet is located in the Career Center or at the Front Desk.



-Seniors: If you are planning on attending Sacramento State University in Fall, 2012, you must request a transcript now.   Due to this campus being impacted, your acceptance will be rescinded if the transcript is not received by Sacramento State by April 10, 2012.  Please order your transcript at the counseling office.



-The Blue and White Foundation is currently accepting applications for the Student Activity Grant.  Applications can be downloaded from our web site:  http://www.dhsblueandwhite.org.   The deadline for this round of applications is April 1st.  These grants are for individual students, not student clubs.  The following is information regarding eligibility for the grant:    Scholarship funds to support academic endeavors for incoming Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors attending Davis Senior High School.  These include Academic Society meetings/workshops/conferences, sports training camps, fine arts workshops/symposiums and assistance with funding for additional expenses related to extramural school activities i.e. costuming, sports equipment or musical instruments (rental or purchased).

 These funds must be used while students are attending Davis Senior High School.  Exception to this directive may be considered for the time period immediately prior to entering the high school or immediately following graduation, but prior to entering another academic institution.



-HEY SENIORS!  It is time to make your reservation for Grad Night!    Grad Night is Friday, June 8 from 9:30 to 5:00 am at Emerson Junior High.   No one will be admitted after midnight! Tickets are $90 and the check should be made payable to "Davis Grad Night."  Fill out the quick form on the website.  www.davisgradnight.com<http://www.davisgradnight.com>   An email confirmation will be sent; no tickets will be issued.  Senior's name will be on a paid list at Grad Night check-in.  Seniors must be eligible to walk in their graduation ceremony to attend and must present an ID to enter Grad Night.  You can mail or scan in your kindergarten photo for the Grad Night Kindergarten Wall.  You can also mail your reservation.
