Reminder:  Mr. Blue Devil Applications are due today, March 1 in C-4.  Come by to pick one up in C-4. Also due on Friday to C-4 are applications for Youth in Government for juniors and seniors.

CSFers, old and new!  Our first general meeting is today, 3/1 at the beginning of lunch in Ms. O'Brien's room P-13.  Remember, you need to attend 2 general meetings and 1 CSF project so come to the meeting!  See you there!

Secondary Articulation Day is next Thursday, March 7.   Schedules are available at the Front Desk.
Today is the last day to show your kindness by buying a "We can all be Kind" bro tank outside of A-5 for $12.  It's a perfect way to remember Week of Kindness!

SENIORS:  Saturday, March 2 is the deadline to apply for FAFSA and Cal Grants.  Don't miss out on getting free money for college!  Come to the Career Center for questions or would like more information about these programs.

NEW: There will be a meeting for all prospective math and science tutors on Monday, March 4 in Mr.  Van Muyden's room, S-8.

AP is coming!  AP test sales will be held during lunch only Monday, March 11 - Friday, March 15.  You MUST bring your photo ID and cash or check payable to DHS or Davis High.  You may buy online now at the DHS WebStore using debit or credit card.  For financial assistance, see your counselor immediately.  For general questions, see the Testing Coordinator.

"What's better than The Derek Zoolander Center For Kids Who Can't Read Good and Wanna Learn How to Do Other Stuff Good Too?"  FRIENDSHIP DAY! It's your last chance to come this year so turn in your permission slips by Thursday, March 7 to come to Friendship Day!

Juniors!  Would you like to participate in the all-expense-paid Camp Royal youth leadership camp this summer?  If so, come to O-4 at lunchtime on Tuesday, March 5 to talk to last year's Camp Royal attendees and see a Camp Royal video.  This meeting is sponsored by Davis Interact Group.  Camp Royal is a leadership-training program filled with information, ideas and strategies to help you become a more effective leader.  Applications are available in the Career Center.

Seniors: It's scholarship time!  If you want free money for college, apply for scholarships!  17 scholarships were just added to the Scholarship Bulletin and many are for DHS students only! Come to the Career Center for more information!

Lecture Series:  Interested in the field of Biomedical and Biomedical Engineering, come to the Career Center on Tuesday, March 5 at lunch to hear Dr. Ye Chen-Izu's presentation on "Engineering Solutions to Tackle Heart Disease Mechanisms".  Dr. Chen-Izu will report on the innovative techniques her department is developing to treat heart disease.  Dr. Chen-Izu is an Assistant Professor at the UC Davis Health System Department of Pharmacology.
Boys Lacrosse - Break the Record Night, Friday, March 15 - 5:30JV/7:30V.  Admission is free! Food provided by Tommy J's, Jamba Juice and Peet's Coffee.  Grab a friend or family member and come support DHS Blue Devil Lacrosse.  Wear blue and white!

Latinos Unidos will be having a general meeting Monday, March 4th in O-5 during lunch.  This meeting counts  of the points needed to go on the San Francisco trip.

ONGOING/UPCOMING EVENTS:  HUB applications for business manager, graphic artist and photographer are now available outside L-20 and are due no later than 3/4.

It's time for The City of Davis' annual So-Cal Safari College Tour for high school students the week of April 4-7 to help teens make the important decision about where to apply.  The tour covers five major universities -   UC Santa Cruz, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, UC Santa Barbara, University of Southern California and UCLA in Southern California.  The tour cost is $490 and includes transportation, college tours, breakfast, dinner and hotels. Interested in aviation?  The Aerospace Museum of California is sponsoring a 4-day Aerospace Summer Camp for students, ages 13 - 17.  Each participant will take a short flight with a registered pilot!
