Acme Theatre Company presents 'Bullshot Crummond, " a modern British spy spoof filled with disguises, plot twists, general mayhem and fun for all ages!  Performances are free and run from this Friday, 5/24 through Monday only.  BBQ @ 5:30 pm and the FREE show starts at 7:00 pm at the Davis Art Center outdoor stage. Davis High summer Volleyball camp:  June 17-20th @ Davis High South Gym
Youth camp:  K-8th grade, 8-10am;  Team camp:  9-12th grade, 11-2pm  This camp is open to both boys and girls and is a great way to meet the Davis High coaches and other guest coaches.  All girls and boys planning on trying out for DHS volleyball next year should sign up for the team camp.  Other youth interested in learning the basic fundamental skills of volleyball, sign up for the youth camp. Seniors!  Come to Grad Night 2013!  The tickets cover food, drinks and entertainment.  Scholarships are available through school counselors.  This event is an all-night party for graduating DJUSD Seniors! NEW:  Sophomores and juniors, do you love to dance?  Then start practicing over the summer for the Jazz Choir's  4th annual dance competition on Oct. 5th!  You can compete solo or with a friend to win cash prizes.  Any style of dance is fine.   More information will be available when school begins in August.

Are you interested in sailing over the summer and through the next school year?  Come to the informational meeting at lunch for the new DHS Sailing Club on Wednesday, May 29 in Room S-08.  Sailors new and experienced are welcome.

Spring Choral Concert! The DHS Spring Choral Concert takes place Thursday, May 30 at 7:00 pm in the Richard Brunelle Performance Hall.  This is your chance to hear the Advanced Treble Choir, Concert Choir and DHS Madrigal Singers perform one last time before the end of the school year.  The POPS concert is directed by Dr. Karen Gardias and features soloists, duets and full choirs.  Tickets are $6 at Watermelon Music or $8 at the door.  The box office opens at 6:15 pm.

DHs Band Concerts:  DHS Jazz Band, "Jazz on a Summers Eve Concert, " Wednesday, May 29, 6:00 pm, Central Park.

ONGOING/UPCOMING:  Recycling makes the environment greener.  A green environment makes the campus happy.  Let's make a happy campus by placing all papers, plastics and aluminum in the small blue recycling containers.  Thank you.

AP US History students for next year: All students signed up to take AP US History for 2013-2014 (i.e., next year!) need to come to a meeting next Wednesday, May 29th.  The meeting will be in the library and will start at the beginning of lunch.   Please bring your student I.D. to check out the textbook for the class and to receive the AP US History Summer Assignment.

Senior Awards Night is almost here!  ALL SENIORS are invited and encouraged to come to Senior Awards Night on Tuesday, May 28 at 6:00 pm in the IPAB.  This is a fun and enthusiastic event and we look forward to seeing you and your family there.  Now posted in the main office and in the Career Center are the names of all students receiving scholarships, awards, or special recognition at Senior Awards Night.  Check the list to see if your name is on the list.  Come to the Career Center if you have questions about Senior Awards Night.

Seniors:  Don't forget to request your FINAL TRANSCRIPT to be sent to the college you will be attending.  Bring in a stamped, self-addressed envelope to the Transcript Counter and follow the posted instructions.  If your common application college is requesting submission of a final report, you will need to make a request at the transcript counter.  Stamped addressed envelope not needed.  Seniors, don't forget to fill out a permanent address card if you haven't already.  Turn in completed cards to the Front Desk or Counseling Office.

The Madrigals will be holding auditions for a tenor, bass, and accompanist on May 28th at lunch.  Please see Mrs. Gardias for details.

SENIORS:  Have you received any scholarships or awards not administered by the Career Center, such as scholarships from colleges or outside organizations?  If so, come to the Career Center and sign the "Outside Award" list.  These awards will be announced at Senior Awards Night on Tuesday, May 28 at 6:00 p.m. in the Richard Brunelle Theater.

The Devil Day Car Show is approaching.  Presented by the DHS Car Club, the show is Wednesday, May 29 on the Quad with viewing in the morning hours and judging at lunch.  There's also the loudest stereo contest and a people's choice category, in which you can cast your ballot for the car you like the best.  Don't miss this year's Devil Day Car Show, May 29 at lunch on the Quad!
