TODAY:  Car fanatics, you're in luck. The application deadline for this year's Devil Day car show has been extended to
Friday, May 23rd. The show is May 28th on the quad. Pick up and return your application to O-3 or the front office.

The GSA meets in L-28 today at lunch to elect officers.

Feminism Club invites the community to the free screening of the movie "Miss Representation"   tonight, Friday, May
23rd at 7:00 pm on campus in PA-8.  There will be food and drinks.

What:    FFA Plant Sale- Friday & Saturday
Where:  DHS Ag Dept. Greenhouse off Oak Street
When:    Friday, May 23rd 12:00pm - 6:00pm & Saturday May 24th 8:00am - 11:00am
Who:     You! Our sale is open to the public.
Cost:      Plant prices range from $.50 cents to $2.50 based on size and container.
FFA members from several DHS agriculture classes will be selling the herbs and vegetables they have planted and cared
for from seed to seedling.  The plants are ready for you to place in your garden or planter box at home.  100% of the
proceeds will go directly to students that worked on the plant project as part of their Supervised Agricultural Experience
(SAE).  Aimee Maria, a graduating FFA officer, is the student lead for the greenhouse and plant SAE project.

SENIORS:  Have you received any scholarships or awards not administered by the Career Center, such as scholarships
from colleges or outside organizations?  If so, come to the Career Center and sign the "Outside Award" list.  These
awards will be announced at Senior Awards Night on Tuesday, June 3 at 6:00 p.m. in the theater.

Seniors!  If you ordered graduation announcements, shirts or sweatshirts and haven't yet picked them up, come to the
Career Center this week to get them!

Hey Seniors!  The HUB will be passing out surveys this week in senior social studies classes.  The information will be used
in our senior issue and college list which will be out on June 6.  If you have not filled out a survey by this Friday, please
come to O-1 before Wednesday, May 28 to pick one up!

Graduating Seniors- If you have not requested your cap and gown, please see Mrs. Perez in the office.  For any questions
relating to Graduation, please see Mrs. Perez in the office.

Don't forget to request your FINAL TRANSCRIPT to be sent to the college you will be attending. Bring in a stamped
addressed envelope to the Transcript Counter and follow the posted instructions. If your common application college is
requesting submission of a final report, you need to make a request at the transcript counter.  A stamped, addressed
envelope is not needed.

Don't forget to fill out a PERMANENT ADDRESS CARD if you haven't already. Turn in completed cards to the Front Desk
or Counseling Office.

CLUBS/EVENTS:  Next week is Powderpuff Spirit Week!  There is no school on Monday, Memorial Day but Tuesday is
Tacky Tourist Tuesday, Wednesday is Wonder Wednesday aka Super Wednesday, on Powderpuff Thursday, seniors wear
blue, juniors wear white and sophomores wear black.  Friday is ER Day!

If you want to learn about scholarships, financial aid, how to create a resume and how to be successful in college and
your career, you should attend the Job Fair and Success Camp on June 16 from 11:00 - 3:00 at the Yolo County One Stop
Career Center in Woodland. The event is sponsored by Congressman John Garamendi.  The job fair is free but you must
sign up ahead of time.  Come to the Career Center for more information.
The NHS meeting will be held on Monday, June 2 at lunchtime as next Monday, May 26th is Memorial Day.  This is the
last meeting of the year.  Make sure to come if you need more  meetings!

The Davis Homeless Shelter needs your help!  Items needed:  Soap, shampoo, lotion, canned food.  There is a drop-off
bin for donations inside the Front Office.  Thank you for your help!

GRAD NIGHT 2014: Seniors! Grad night tickets are available online at davisgradnight.org or you can download the form
and mail it in with a check.   If you are not sure if you have already bought your ticket, check the list at the Front Desk.
Tickets are now $90 and cover all Grad night activities, food/drinks and prizes!  Prices will increase in June and
scholarship tickets are available through the Counseling Office.

Attention Parents of All Students (regardless of grade)! We need Parent Volunteers for Grad Night We need decorators,
check-helpers, event monitors, poker and black jack dealers, raffle workers, café workers and security assistants. If you
have a truck, mini-van or SUV, we also need help transporting supplies to Grad Night.  Please sign up at
