*Blue Devil Basketball* and the Sacramento Kings make a great team! Come
watch our Varsity Blue Devils take on their rivals *St. Francis & Jesuit on
Friday, January 8th. Games will be played at Sleep Train Arena*: Girls
Varsity @ 6:00pm and Boys Varsity @ 7:30pm. Tickets are $30 which includes
both our January 8th game and the February 24th Sacramento Kings vs San
Antonio game. Tickets can be purchased from a Varsity Blue Devil team
member or at the Davis High Finance Office. Questions? Contact DHS
Athletics at 757-5400 x125. Blue Devil Basketball tickets make great
holiday gifts!




Do you want to be part of the fastest growing sport in America?  Do you
want to participate in a sport that is fun as well as challenging?  Do you
want to go on tour to Southern California and Canada and possibly Las
Vegas?  Rugby is the sport for you!  Rugby will be played in the Summer
Olympic Games and the U.S. is poised to medal with its 7 on 7 team.
Colleges across the United States are now offering scholarships in this
great sport.  Try us out this weekend! We have a *Rugby Camp* that is
compulsory for student athletes who want to play in the upcoming season.
The camp is located at Hall’s Park in Dixon on Saturday, 12/12 and Sunday,
12/13 from 9:00-3:00.  There are teams for both men and women.  We are also
training by running Pena Adobe Ridge in Vacaville on Mondays, Wednesdays
and Fridays.  We meet in Dixon at Tremont Elementary School at 3:45 located
at 355 Pheasant Run Dr., Dixon, CA  95620.  Rick Kaufman is organizing
carpools from Davis and Woodland.  He can be contacted at

It’s that time of year again! DHS Idol is coming soon and applications are
now available in PA-8.  Spots are limited, so pick one up to turn in
by *Tuesday,
December 8th.*  There is a $10 application fee and songs must be under 4
minutes.  Winners get $200 along with the coveted title of DHS Idol!




Are you a sophomore or junior and interested in a *10 day all expenses-paid
trip to South Korea*?  If so, come to Mr. Williams’ room, P-14 Tuesdays at
lunch for more details.




*IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS*:  The *Davis Homeless Shelter* needs your help!
Items needed include warm clothes, canned or non-perishable foods and soaps
and shampoos.  There is a donation box inside the Front Office.




Hey hey hey!  It’s *Friendship Day*! Please come this Friday to make
friends!  Turn in your forms to the office! Can’t wait to hear your
fantastic laughs! J

Attention *FFA* members! Don’t forget to come to the * Greenhand and
Chapter Degree Banquet* on December 10th at 6:00 pm in the Harper Jr. High
MPR!




*ACADEMICS/CAREERS/OPPORTUNITIES*:  There will be an informational meeting
on Friday, December 11 for those students interested in the *AP Art Studio*
classes next year.  Examples of portfolios will be shared and questions
about the application process will be addressed.  The meeting will be held
in A-1 during lunch.  Feel free to bring your lunch.




*GRAD NIGHT TICKETS* ARE HERE! Davis Seniors expecting to graduate should
plan to attend this all-night drug and alcohol-free party on Friday, June
10, 2016. Tickets are $75.00 and can be purchased at www.davisgradnight.org.
Prices increase in 2016.  Students needing financial assistance should
contact their counselor.  Questions? Contact ticketsales at davisgradnight.org.



*CLUBS*:  Hey DHS!  Come by S-9 at lunch this week Tuesday through Thursday
if you need help with math and science subjects with *MAST* Tutors.  Finals
are coming up so be sure to get all the help you need!




Hey *Key Clubbers*!  Come to our second to last *meeting *of the Fall term
this Wednesday, 12/9 at lunch in Room S-12!  There will be lots of exciting
new projects and food!  See you there!
