Attention Male Athletes...Looking for something fun to do this summer?  Try Rugby 7's.  It's rugby but with only 7 players a side with each half lasting only 7 minutes.  It's a fun and fast paced game for kids with speed, strength and endurance.  No experience is necessary.  All 9th - 12th grade boys from all sports are welcomed.  Come to an introductory meeting on Thursday, May 7th in the home bleachers of the DHS stadium from 6:30-7:00 pm.  Contact Mike Goodison for more information at 530-902-1312.

Basketball players in grades 4th-8th are invited to the annual DHS Blue Devil Basketball Camp June 15-18. DHS Football Backers are hosting The Gridiron Gala, the annual football fundraiser dinner and silent auction on Saturday, May 9th, 5:30 pm at the Vets Memorial Center. For tickets and more information, go to the website at davishighfootball.org

Annual Sports Physical Clinic at Sutter Family Practice - Saturday, June 6th - 8:30-11:30am at 2030 Sutter Place. $20 donation benefits DHS Athletics. Athletes in grades 7-12 are encouraged to get their sports physicals done in preparation for the 2015-16 school year. The GSA's free 'Rent' Movie Night is happening tonight, Thursday at 7:00 pm, May 7th in the band room, PA-3.  Come out for free snacks and a movie about the struggles of life, love and AIDS.

DSHS Students: Please nominate a Davis Senior High School educator you think is most deserving of the honor of the Floyd Fenocchio Memorial Educator of the Year! Nomination forms listing the award criteria are available in the Front Office with an attached description/explanation of your nominee to Kate Prien, Site Secretary, no later than noon on Friday, May 15, 2015.  The finalist will receive the award at the Senior Awards Ceremony on June 2, 2015.

Seniors, if you missed the Senior Assembly, please stop by Mrs. Perez' desk in the Administration building to pick up the information you missed.  If you attended the assembly and have not yet turned in your request for your 4 free Graduation tickets, please do so today; without this information seating preference cannot be guaranteed.

Grad Night tickets are available at lunchtime outside by the Finance Office.  Tickets are $90 through this month and then will increase to $110 in June.  You can purchase ticket right now via brown paper tickets or by printing a paper ticket and sending mailing it in with payment.  Both methods are accessible via www.davisgradnight.org<http://www.davisgradnight.org> right now.  Students will be able purchase entrance into Grad Night at the door for $110.

Graduation announcements are now available in the Career Center for pickup at break, lunch or after school.  If you haven't ordered announcements, they are still available until May 15th!

Take a moment today to reach out and be inclusive of your peers with disabilities.  Do your part to make everyone feel welcome at DHS!

ACADEMICS/CAREERS/OPPORTUNITIES:  Seniors: have you received any scholarships or awards not administered by the Career Center, such as scholarships from colleges or outside organizations?  If so, come to the Career Center and sign the "Outside Award" list.  These awards will be announced at Senior Awards Night on Tuesday, June 2 at 6:00 pm in the IPAB.

SENIORS:  Did you apply for a local scholarship?  Names of scholarship recipients are starting to arrive, so come to the Career Center to see if your name is on the list of recipients!  The list is posted in the Career Center's window.

CLUBS/EVENTS:  Attention all CSF members: There will be a general meeting tomorrow, Friday, May 8th where we will  discuss future projects.  Remember if you still need meeting attendance, remember to come to this one as the school year is ending.

Cancer Awareness Club Fact of the Week: Every 8 minutes a woman in the United States dies of lung cancer, #1 cancer killer of women.

The Davis Homeless Shelter is in need of supplies: nonperishable foods, soaps and shampoos as well as gently-used jackets, etc. are being collected in a donation bin inside the front office.  Anything helps! Thank you!
