IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:  Winter Ball tickets are on sale this week!  Tickets will be sold for $20 w/ ASB and $25 without.  Tickets are on sale now online and in person at the Finance Office window at lunchtime only.   You must have your dance contract on file.  If you are bringing a guest, guest passes are available in the Front Office and must be turned in at least two days before purchasing your tickets.  Hurry in and buy your tickets before prices go up!

Are you interested in winning two free tickets to Winter Ball?  As a partner or a friend to be your date to Winter Ball in a creative way!  Take a picture or video and share it on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #dhswiball2015 and tag @davishigh events.  The most creative promposal will win a pair of tickets!

On behalf of the students and the director, please accept this invitation to the DHS Symphonic Band's upcoming performance this coming Tuesday, November 17th, beginning at 7:30pm in the Richard Brunelle Theater. The concert is titled "Gifts" and represents musical gifts of cornerstone wind band literature throughout the last 80 years. The program is exciting and we sincerely hope you are able to attend and enjoy the wonderful musical gifts the Symphonic Band students have worked so hard to prepare.

Want to say that you are published?  Submit your prose, poetry, photography and art to the Spoke, Davis High's Literary and Art Magazine!  Please submit your work to spacesubmissions100 at gmail.com<mailto:spacesubmissions100 at gmail.com>.  The deadline is November 30th for the first issue of this year.

ACADEMICS/CAREERS/OPPORTUNITIES:  Volunteers are needed for the Davis Turkey Trot run on Saturday: November 21st from approximately 5:00 am - 9:00 am.  Volunteers will help set-up tables and tents, pass out t-shirts & bibs, and help with parking (6-9).  Come to the Career Center for more information.

Are you interested in a summer trip to South Korea?  Do you enjoy world travel?  If so, join the Davis Cultural Exchange Club in Mr. Williams' room, P-14 Tuesdays at lunch for more details!

Davis FFA is collecting items for military service members.  If you have items such as baby wipes, fruit snacks or jerky you would like to donate, bring them to O-1A or the box in the Front Office.

CLUBS/EVENTS:  Do you want to learn to fly?  If so, then come to the Aviation Club in N-3 every other Tuesday.  We will learn about the basics of planes, flight simulators and the Air Force.

Are you interested in Teen Health Awareness?  If you are, join us at Teen Health Awareness Club every other Tuesday in Ms. Moriarty's room, S-5.  Our next meeting is Tuesday, November 17th.  We hope to see you there!

Take a hike...to Nature Club!  On Tuesdays at lunchtime in L-27!

CSF meets on Wednesday, 11/18 at lunchtime in Ms. O'Brien's room, P-13.  See you there!

A message to everyone in and going to DHS Factor!  On November 18th and 19th are rehearsals after school in the IPAB.  And don't forget to mark your calendars on the 20th at 7:00 pm for the show in the IPAB to watch and vote for your favorite act!

The DHS PTA will be hosting an upcoming Parent Education Presentation. It will be a free event for both students and parents---"Stress Management for Teens," on Nov. 18, 2015 from 6:30-8:30 pm at Brunelle Theater at DHS.

Attention all DHS instrumental soloists: The annual DHS Concerto Competition will be held on Wednesday, January 13th, 2016 at 7:00 pm in the Brunelle Performance Hall.  The competition is open to all DHS instrumentalists and free to the public to view.  The winner will receive the honor of performing with the DHS Symphony Orchestra at the Mondavi Center in Jackson Hall at the Wennberg Music Festival on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 2:30 pm as well as a check for $500.00.  A sign-up sheet and informational flyer is posted on the window of the computer lab in PA-3.  Deadline to sign up: Friday, December 18, 2015. Plan for this event now and prepare your solo ASAP.
