THIS DAY IN HISTORY:    1981 - Cincinnati defeated Bradley 75-73 in seven overtimes. The game was the longest collegiate basketball game in the history of NCAA Division I competition.

Are you looking for a quiet place to study?  Do you need to use a computer?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, come to the Internet After Hours program at DHS Library.  We are open every Monday through Thursday from 5:00 p m – 7:15 pm.  All DJUSD students and their families are welcome.

Are you interested in biology?  If so, you may want to take the USABO Open Exam in February.  The USABO Open Exam is a 50-minute multiple choice exam available to all high school students.  It focuses on animal and plant anatomy and physiology, cell biology. Genetics and evolution.  Students who qualify could represent the United States in international competition. OPPORTUNITIES/EVENTS/MISCELLANEOUS:  English Learner Advisory Committee—Upcoming Meeting
DHS has many amazing bilingual students on our campus. These brilliant students come with one language and develop their second (English) during their time at DHS. Our English Learner Advisory (ELAC) Committee will meet this Thursday at 5:30 pm. All students who are learning English as their second language are welcome to come with their parents. DHS ELAC meeting, December 22nd, 2016 at 5:30pm in the DHS Library/West Conference room. If you have participated in past years, or have never been involved before, we encourage you to join the experience and connect to the Blue Devil family.

Attention all DHS instrumental soloists announcing this year’s DHS Concerto Competition: The annual DHS Orchestra Concerto Competition will be held Wednesday, January 11th, 2017 at 7:00pm on stage in the DHS Brunelle Performance Hall. It is open to all DHS instrumentalist and free to the public to view. The winner of this competition will be given the honor of performing with the DHS Symphony Orchestra at the Mondavi Center in Jackson Hall at the Wennberg Music Festival, Saturday, April 8th, 2017 at 2:30pm as well as a check for $500.00. A sign-up sheet and informational flyer are now on the window of the computer lab in PA-3. Deadline to sign up is Friday December 23rd, 2016.
