Greetings Fellow Oddfellows,
There are a number of announcements for events today from IOOF Members.
Please do not forget the Installation Dinner on January 7th. Photos will be
started to be taken at the Installation Dinner on Sunday, January 7, 2007,
6-9 p.m. at Sudwerk in Davis. G Richard Yamagata will be taking pictures of
members that will be attending the Installation Dinner in the view that
people will be most fittingly dressed for the occasion. Others will be
photographed at the Wednesday evening meetings. Or -- you can submit a
photo of your choosing for the web site.

There is no set deadline at this time, but after your photos have been taken
or submitted, I can begin work on putting the information up. for these
pages. A questionaire will be passed out for people to fill out. They can
be snail mailed or e-mailed or just handed to G Richard Yamagata.

Second Announcement of Interest:
Our Noble Grand, Hon. Dave Rosenberg was elected to a six-year term as
Superior Court Judge in June and he is being sworn in to that term on
Monday, January 8, at 12 noon in the Atrium of the County Administration
Building (next to the Courthouse on Court Street). Many officials are being
sworn in at that time. If any Odd Fellows find themselves in Woodland on
January 8 at noon, they are welcome to come by the swearing-in ceremonies.
Presiding Judge Steve Mock will be swearing in Judge Shockley, Judge
Warriner and Judge Rosenberg to their new terms. Then, Judge Rosenberg will
swear in County Clerk-Recorder Freddie Oakley (she was also elected), and
then Freddie will swear in a number of local officials who were elected.

The Third announcement concerns the January Calendar of Events:
Dear Odd Fellows:
Please mark your calendars for our two January meetings.
The breakfast meeting will be on Saturday, January 13. The focus of
this meeting will be (1) an opportunity to have members view and tour the
remodeled Hall, (2) formally announce appointments to our IOOF committees.
A Continental Breakfast will be served at 8:45 a.m. and the meeting will
commence at 9:30 a.m. The breakfast meeting is open to members and guests.
The business meeting will be on Wednesday, January 24, at the home of
Noble Grand Hon. Dave Rosenberg. We will launch a new tradition starting
with the meeting of January 24: At 6:30 p.m. I invite any member who is
available to come to the Lodge for a social hour. No agenda, just some some
social time with other members, wine, juice, cheese and crackers. I hope to
schedule these social hours one hour before our business meetings so we have
some time just to get to know one another a little better. The actual
business meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m.

The Hall Board meetings are now at 4:30PM instead of 4PM on the third Monday
of each month. Please refer to the calendar at the bottom of this page for
more details.
