Negotiations Re-Opened for Several Central Valley Project San Luis Unit
Long-Term Water Service Contracts The Bureau of Reclamation announces the
re-opening of negotiations with several Central Valley Project (CVP) San
Luis Unit Contractors to renew agriculture and municipal and industrial
water service contracts for a period of 25 years.  Reclamation is re-opening
the contract negotiations to address public comments received during the
60-day public comment period for San Luis Division long-term water service
contracts.  Contractors include the Pacheco, Panoche, San Luis, and
Westlands Water Districts, and Westlands Water District Distribution
District No. 2.  The proposed long-term water service contracts are for the
delivery of up to 1,383,358 acre-feet of CVP water per year via the San Luis
Reservoir.  

The negotiation session will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2006, from
1:30- 4:30 p.m. at the San Luis & Delta-Mendota Water Authority Board Room,
842 Sixth Street, Los Banos, California.
