Hi all,
See the Arcata Fish and Wildlife Office's Fisheries page for the latest
in-season update for our mainstem Trinity River spawning survey.
http://www.fws.gov/arcata/fisheries/

That was a whopper of a storm! We were unable to survey reach 3 (Bucktail
River Access to Steelbridge), reach 4 (Steelbridge to Douglas City
Campground), or any of the lower river Hawkins Bar to Weitchpec due to high
turbid water. Our crews mapped the locations of 292 redds and 3,179
carcasses in the reaches they were able to survey.

The figure below is clipped from this week's report and shows how this
year's running total from Lewiston Dam to Cedar Flat compares to years
previous.

Look for another update next week,
Charlie
