Reclamation Announces Extension of Comment Period to April 14, 2017 on Draft EA/IS for the Deep Gulch and Sheridan Creek Rehabilitation Project 


WEAVERVILLE, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation, along with the Bureau of Land Management (federal co-lead agencies) and the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board (state lead agency), announce a draft Environmental Assessment/Initial Study (EA/IS for the Trinity River Restoration Program’s (TRRP) proposed Deep Gulch and Sheridan Creek Rehabilitation Project. The project is scheduled for implementation to start in the summer of 2017.
A request was made to TRRP on April 6 to extend the comment period.  In concurrence with the Bureau of Land Management, the comment Period will be extended one week.

Written comments on the draft EA/IS must be received by close of business Friday, April 14, 2017.  The previous due date was April 7, 2017.  Please send comments to Brandt Gutermuth, TRRP, P.O. For additional information, please contact Gutermuth at 530-623-1806 or Kevin Held at 530-623-1809. The draft EA/IS, which evaluates potential project impacts to the environment, was created in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and the California Environmental Quality Act.
