"letter of intent." This paves the way for exploring options that
would bring two 1,600 megawatt facilities to west <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place

has a current moratorium on building new nuclear plants. The two plants are
expected between Mendota and <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Kettleman</st1:PlaceName>
<st1:PlaceType w:st="on">City</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>.<o:p></o:p></span></font></b></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><b><font size=3 color="#333333" face=Arial><span

nuclear project could also make way for desalinization plants to the area. That
process cleans up the water for farmers.<o:p></o:p></span></font></b></p>
