The fire is currently 30 miles away from the City of Mt. Shasta. Interstate 5 is closed from 10 miles north of Redding at Fawndale Road to 3.6 miles south of Mount Shasta at Mott Road. Motorists are advised to use an alternate route. <br>There was a smaller fire in Castella that has been mitigated that is not related to the Delta Fire.<br><br>The Shasta County Sheriff's Office is conducting evacuations south of the Shasta/Siskiyou county line.<br><br>
