color: rgb(68, 68, 68); font-size: 16px; line-height: 27px;">The potential leak was reported Monday afternoon, and the federal Bureau of Reclamation took immediate action to locate, stop and confine the leak, said Christie Kalkowski, public affairs officer for the Bureau of Reclamation, Mid-Pacific Regional Office.</p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 24px; color: rgb(68, 68, 68); font-size: 16px; line-height: 27px;">On Tuesday, employees found the leak source that originated from one of the two hydraulic valves (hollow jets) used during high flow releases. They stopped the leak.</p><div id="ydp687733d8tncms-region-article_instory_middle" class="ydp687733d8tncms-region ydp687733d8hidden-print"></div><p style="margin: 0px 0px 24px; color: rgb(68, 68, 68); font-size: 16px; line-height: 27px;">Flows were reduced to further assist in assessing the leak Tuesday afternoon, as well as to address operational issues at the powerplant, Kalkowski said.</p><p style="margin: 0px 0px 24px; color: rgb(68, 68, 68); font-size: 16px; line-height: 27px;">Flows will be reduced to 3,500 cfs while Reclamation assesses the situation and makes repairs.
