Yolobus Public Service Announcement

Due to the funeral services for a fallen sheriff deputy tomorrow, Friday,
November 3rd, delays and re-routing of YOLOBUS service should be expected.
The services start at 11 a.m. and will be followed by a procession at 1 p.m.
Because thousands of law enforcement cars and motorcycles are anticipated to
travel to the event and along the procession, we anticipate YOLOBUS
disruptions occurring as early as 10 a.m. and lasting until around 3 p.m.
Because tomorrow is a Friday (traffic normally backs up considerably on
Fridays anyway), some delays in commute departure times may occur, though we
are hoping to keep those to a minimum.

YOLOBUS routes 35, 39, 40, 41, 42A, 42B, 240, 241, plus all afternoon
express routes could be impacted, depending on traffic conditions.

At approximately 1 p.m., the street closures for the procession will go into
effect. The procession route is from the Tower Bridge: EB on Capitol Mall, R
on 9th Street, L on N Street, R on 11th Street into Riverside Blvd. to
Florin Road. When the closures take place, no civilian vehicle traffic
(including buses and light rail trains) will cross the procession route.
Numerous YOLOBUS and Regional Transit bus routes will be detoured for the
duration of the event. The operating perimeter is: L Street (north), 15th
Street (east), P Street (south, blocked at 11th), Sacramento River (west).
There is expected to be heavy traffic on these perimeter streets throughout
this event.
