Yolobus Public Service Announcement

 

 

Yolobus to serve new West Sacramento Transit Center beginning Sunday,
October 17, 2010.

 

Minor service changes to be in effect for new Transit Center.

 

Transferring between Yolobus routes will be safer and easier at the new
West Sacramento Transit Center as riders will no longer have to cross
the street.

 

The West Sacramento Transit Center will have two (2) separate passenger
waiting areas: 

"BAY A" is on Merkley Avenue and will serve:

*         Route 35 to Southport

*         Route 40/41 to West Sacramento

*         Route 42A to West Sacramento, Davis, & Woodland

*         Route 240 to West Sacramento 

*         Route 241 to West Sacramento

 

"BAY B" is on West Capitol Avenue and will serve:

*         Route 35 drop-off only (transfers to routes below)

*         Route 40, 41, 42B, 240, & 241 to downtown Sacramento

 

Existing bus shelters on the north and south sides of West Capitol east
of Merkley will be removed and those bus stops will be discontinued.

 

Minor Service Changes:

*         Route 35 will begin at BAY A and travel straight on Merkley to
Westacre.

*         Routes 40, 41, 42A, 240, and 241 going westbound will serve
BAY A, turnaround on Merkley and turn left onto West Capitol.

*         Routes 40, 41, 42B, 240, and 241 going eastbound will serve
BAY B and continue on West Capitol to downtown Sacramento.
