Yolobus and Chamber of Commerce help West Sacramento

Residents Connect to the new Farmers Market 

 

 

(West Sacramento CA) Yolobus partners with West Sacramento Chamber of
Commerce to improve the quality of life in West Sacramento by providing
a convenient, safe and environmentally friendly way to access the new
West Sacramento Farmers Market, a place for local producers of fresh
food to provide them directly to the consumers.  Yolobus offers a
complimentary round-trip to encourage people to ride the bus to the West
Sacramento Farmers Market all summer long.

 

Three easy steps to obtain your complimentary round-trip:

1.        Ask the Yolobus driver for a transfer slip upon boarding the
bus

2.       Bring your valid transfer slip* to the Yolobus or West
Sacramento Farmers Market Information Booth

3.       Exchange your transfer slip for one Yolobus complimentary
round-trip.

*A valid transfer slip must be issued the same date as the West
Sacramento Farmers Market.

 

The West Sacramento Farmers Market is open every Thursday, from 4:30 PM
to dusk, beginning on May 19th through September 29th, 2011.  The West
Sacramento Farmers Market is located at 1271 West Capitol Ave, across
the street from City Hall, and within 500 feet of the bus stop at West
Capitol and Jefferson.

Yolobus to offer $15 Summer Sizzler Youth Passes at Farmers Markets

 

 

Youth (age 5-18) can ride Yolobus & Unitrans all summer long (June 1 -
Aug 31) for only $15!  To help promote this program, Yolobus will be
selling Summer Sizzler Passes on select dates at farmers market
throughout Yolo County:

*         West Sacramento Farmers Market: 6/2, 6/16

*         Davis Farmers Market: 6/8, 6/25

*         Woodland Farmers Market: 6/11, 6/21

Dates may be subject to change. 

 

In addition to the sale at the Farmers Markets, Summer Sizzler passes
are on sale at the following locations:

*         Davis

o   City of Davis (City Hall) - Parks & Community Services

o   Unitrans  Business Office (South Hall - UCD)

*         Woodland

o   City of Woodland (City Hall) - Utilities Department

o   Raley's  - Customer Service

o   Bel Air - Customer Service

o   Yolo County Transportation District

*         Winters

o   City of Winters (City Hall)

 

The passes for 2011 will include a new magnetic strip to use on all
Yolobus fareboxes, which will improve ridership data collection.  See
attached flyer for details.

Yolobus Minor Service Change - Route 220 will serve 

the new Vacaville Transportation Center

 

 

 

Effective Tuesday, May 31, 2011, Yolobus route 220 will begin service to
the new Vacaville Transportation Center, located on Allison Drive.  The
schedule has been adjusted to provide easier connections to Vacaville's
City Coach and Fairfield & Suisun transit systems.  

 

Route 220 provides service with three round-trips between Davis, Winters
and Vacaville, Monday through Saturday.
