Weekly Update on Reroutes and Detours

Wednesday, November 2nd 2015


West Sacramento | Tree Lighting Ceremony

On Friday, December 4th 2015, between 1:00 pm and 9:00 pm, West Capitol Ave. between Jefferson and Merkley will be closed for the West Sacramento Tree Lighting Ceremony. Due to this closure, Yolobus Routes 35, 40, 41, 42A, 42B, 240 and 241 will be rerouted.

Routes affected by the closure


*         35 (Southport Local)

*         40 (West Sacramento Local)

*         41 (West Sacramento Local)

*         42A/B (Intercity)

*         240 (West Sacramento Shuttle)

*         241 (West Sacramento Commute)

Bus Stops Closed


*         West Capitol Ave. and Jefferson (Westbound and Eastbound)

*         West Capitol Ave. and Merkley

For Eastbound Buses, please board at the Temporary Bus Stop on W. Capitol Mall and Merkley (across the street from the West Sacramento Transit Center).

Downtown Sacramento | California International Marathon

On Sunday, December 6th 2015, between 7:00am and 2:00pm Downtown Sacramento will be hosting the California International Marathon. Due to this event, Yolobus Routes 42A/42B, 240, and 40 will be rerouted for the duration of the event.

Routes affected by the Closure


*         40 (West Sacramento Local)

*         240 (West Sacramento Shuttle)

*         42A (Intercity Clockwise)

*         42B (Intercity Counter-Clockwise)

Bus Stops Closed


*         15th at K St.(Southbound)

*         L St. at 13th (Westbound)

*         L St. at 10th (Westbound)

*         9th at L St. (Southbound)

*         Capitol Mall at 7th (Westbound)

*         8th at N St (Northbound)

*         N St. at 7th (Eastbound)

*         N St. at 4th (Eastbound)

Limited Closures

Route 40 and 240 will not serve these additional bus stops:


*         J St. at 8th (Eastbound)

Temporary Bus Stop


*         I St. at 12th (Westbound) - For Routes 42A/B Only
