[1st-mile-nm] Why do we need a GigE at the house

I'm asked this question a lot.  "I don't need that much speed at home, I'm not surfing that much"


CityLink recently installed an Arbor Networks PeakFlow device.  It allows us to be smarter about our connectivity.

Here is a 24 hour snap shot on just ONE application being used on our network.

NetFlix.   280Mb/s worth of traffic JUST FOR NETFLIX alone.


Users may not be "web surfing", but they are Channel Surfing. :)
