e-mail is going out to this list first, because it includes an event that is
not directly sponsored by the club.

Will Arnold is a member of the Davis Democratic Club and is Membership Chair
of the club until March 1. On March 1, Ellie Fairclough is running to fill
the seat of DDC Membership Chair.

Candidate for Davis City Council, Will Arnold, will be the keynote speaker
at the 236th Meeting of the Davis Progressive Business Exchange on
Wednesday, February 17. This is a lunch time meeting from 11:45AM to 1PM.
He will talk about growing up in Davis and his experiences and the lessons
that they have taught him and why the lessons have led him to wanting to
serve our community of Davis as a member of the Davis City Council.

The Davis PBE meets for lunch time meetings the first and third Wednesdays
at the International House, 10 College Park off of Russell Blvd in Davis,
CA. The Davis PBE is a Davis businessmen's lunch organization. Lunch is
being paid for by David Pinto Insurance and will be catered by Lamppost
Pizza. There is no cost to attend. If you plan to attend the lunch

DDC General Meeting for Officer Elections
MARCH 1, 2015 TUESDAY

FOOD: NO FOOD
By-Laws allow for nominations from the floor for each office. By-Laws allow
for the board to propose a slate of candidates to fill the offices.

The slate of candidates for club officers are as follows:
President - Stephen Souza
Vice President - Rick Gonzales
Treasurer - Ameer Alsawaf
Recording Secretary - G Richard Yamagata
Publicity & Corresponding Secretary - Tim Fenton
Mambership - Ellie Fairclough
Please note, we have held the last 4 elections at the IOOF Hall in Davis.
This year it is at the Davis Branch Yolo County Library on 14th Street.
Also, we have had food donated and served for past four elections. This
year, there will be no food and library rules preclude our having food
served (library needs prior notice and the club needs to pay kitchen fees
prior to event). You must have paid your dues before February 14, 2016, the
Valentine's Day party. Dues will be verified by the board on the day of the
election.
There will be elections held for officers of the Davis Democratic Club.
Please come vote. The election is from 7PM until 7:30PM. We need at least
one DDC member that is not running for election to count the ballots in the
event of nomination from the floor. Polling closes at 7:20PM.
After the election, the club will be holding a Board Meeting. This is our
usual, first Tuesday of the month Davis Democratic Club board meeting.
This meeting will be at the Davis Branch, Yolo County Library in the
Blanchard Room.
Please note that all Davis Democratic Club members are welcome to attend the
board meeting. Usually, we have several guests, both members and
non-members, at these meetings.
