This message is to the most politically active people in the community
of Davis.

John Pamperin's memorial service is this Sunday, September 8 from 2 to
4:30 at the Veterans Memorial Center in Davis.  This is at the T
intersection of 14th Street and B Street in North Davis.

I am told that 400 people have already RSVPed for this historic
community event.  Besides leading the Davis contingent to the historic
march with Martin Luther King from Selma To Montgomery, John went to
Delano, CA to support the United Farm Workers at the beginning of their
movement.  John was also a founding commissioner of the City of Davis
Human Relations Commission and was its longest sitting commissioner.
Please turn out to remember and honor this man who did so much to
improve humanity.  In my book, he was one of the greatest people that I
have personally met in my life.  He helped so many people and some of
the people he helped were people that I knew in college that needed
help.  I can honestly say that he made a difference and made the world a
better place on his voyage through life.
