Hi all,

This coming week is a very busy one, with several important events scattered throughout the week. Please attend everything you can and get involved in the school!

Monday, 9/22 – Homecoming Rally
If you are involved in Pep Band, please contact your 2nd period teacher at the beginning of class to remind them of the email list I sent around, asking for students to be excused at 8:55am. We need to be in the North Gym, ready to play, at 9:15am.

Thursday, 9/25 – Pep Band Rehearsal for Homecoming Parade and Game, 7:30pm to 9:00pm
Everyone interested in participating in the Homecoming Parade and Game MUST attend this rehearsal. We will also have the 9th grade students joining us for this event. Please be prepared to practice marching so we look good in the parade (closed toe shoes,…no sandals).

Friday, 9/26 – Homecoming Parade
We are on a special shortened day schedule this day for Homecoming. If you do not have a 7th period, you will be expected to arrive at the band room at 11:30am to gather equipment and head to Central Park. Students with a 7th period, please stay tuned for more details on an early release time. The parade usually begins at around 1:30pm. We will need to be in place, ready to begin the parade, at this time.

All students MUST have a DJUSD Student Field Trip Authorization form completed in order to participate. I will be receiving the forms soon and will distribute them immediately.

Friday, 9/26 – Homecoming Game
The most important Football Pep Band Game of the year! Everyone needs to arrive at 6:00pm at PA3 to prepare for the game. The game should end at around 9:15pm. Please have transportation available at this time.

It going to be a great week!

Mr. S
