Reroute & Detours| Weekly Update

Thursday, July 30th 2015



Downtown Sacramento | The Color Run

On Friday, July 31st 2015 from 7:00 pm through Saturday, August 1st 2015 at 3:00 pm, Capitol Mall (between 3rd and 7th St.) will be closed for the 2015 Color Run event.

Due to the closure, Yolobus Routes going through Capitol Mall will be rerouted from 7:00 PM on Friday, June 6th until 3:00 PM the next day. Yolobus will resume normal service after 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 1st.

Routes affected by the closure:


*         Route 42A/42B

*         Route 40

*         Route 41

*         Route 240

The following bus stop will be closed for the duration of the event:


*         5th at Capitol Mall

*         J St. at 8th (Closed to Route 240 and 42B Only)

*         J St. at 6th (Closed to Route 240 and 42B Only)

*         9th at K St. (Closed to Route 240 Only)

*         9th at L St. (Closed to Route 240 Only)

West Sacramento | Tower Bridge Gateway Closure

Starting Monday, August 3rd 2015 until Friday, August 14th 2015, Tower Bridge Gateway Eastbound Lanes will be closed for construction.

Due to the closure, Yolobus Routes going through Tower Bridge Gateway will be rerouted. Yolobus will resume normal service on Saturday, August 15th 2015.

Routes affected by the closure:


*         Intercity

o   Route 42B

*         West Sacramento

o   Route 240

o   Route 241 AM

*         Davis Express

o   43 AM

o   44 AM

o   230 AM

o   232 AM

The following bus stop will be closed for the duration of the construction project:


*         Garden at W. Capitol (EB)

*         Tower Bridge Gateway at Garden (EB)

*         Tower Bridge Gateway at Raley Field (EB)

We encourage our riders to board our buses at the West Sacramento Transit Center.

Repost | Downtown Sacramento & West Sacramento's Farmers Markets

Starting Thursday, May 7th 2015 until Thursday, September 24th 2015, Capitol Mall in Downtown Sacramento will be partially closed for the weekly Farmers Market.

Due to the closure, Yolobus Routes going through Capitol Mall will be rerouted every Thursday from 09:00 AM until 02:00 PM. The following routes will affected by the closure:


*         Route 42A/42B - Intercity

*         Route 40/41 - West Sacramento Local

*         Route 240 - West Sacramento Shuttle

The following bus stop will be partially closed:


*         5th St. at Capitol Mall

o   Route 42A (Closed)

o   Route 42B (Drop-Off Only)

o   Route 40/41 (Closed)

o   Route 240 (Closed for Outbound buses)

UPDATED: Moreover, starting Thursday, June 6th 2015 until Thursday, September 24th 2015, West Capitol Ave. in West Sacramento will also be closed for the weekly West Sacramento Farmers Market.

Due to the closure, Yolobus Routes going through West Capitol Ave. will be rerouted every Thursday from 01:30 PM (initially 2:00 PM) until 09:00 PM. The routes affected by the closure include:


*         Route 42A/42B - Intercity

*         Route 35 - Southport Local

*         Route 40/41 - West Sacramento Local

*         Route 240 - West Sacramento Shuttle

*         Route 241 - West Sacramento Commute

The following bus stops will be closed:


*         West Capitol Ave. and Jefferson (Westbound and Eastbound)

*         West Capitol Ave. and Merkley

*         Westacre Rd. and West Capitol Ave.

A temporary bus stop on West Capitol at Merkley, across the street from the Transit Center, will be opened during the reroute times for eastbound trips into Downtown Sacramento.

Repost | City of Woodland's Main St. Closure & Farmers Market

Yolobus Routes 215, 45 PM, and 242 PM have resumed normal service on Monday, May 11th 2015. However, due to sidewalk constructions near the new Courthouse, the Westbound Main St. at 5th bus stop will be temporarily relocated a few feet west of the actual stop and a temporary bus stop sign will be installed.

Beginning Saturday, May 16th 2015, Route 215 will be rerouted from 7:00 am till 1:00 pm for the weekly Woodland's Farmers Market on Main St. and the following bus stops will not be served during that time frame:


*         Main St. at 5th

*         Main St. at Elm

Please board Route 215 buses at Court St. at 2nd. The same reroute and detour will occur every Saturdays thru October.
